The latest form of poetry: Lo-ku

Invented by a woman in the Cleveland, Ohio area; the newest form of poetry: the Lo-ku.

Similar to a Haiku, the structure of Lo-ku is three lines consisting of three syllables, five syllables, and three syllables.

Here is my attempt at the latest poetic form:

Wire tapping
is a high price for
our freedom

Abramoff
payoffs quid pro quo
is not right

Oh coffee
thy taste is divine
Where’s my cup?

Pork chops rule
serve with applesauce
It’s my fave!

Music from
the nineteen eighties
has no peer
