Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (Dem – GA) plays the race card

We will never get to any form of resolution on racism when people like her pull stunts like this. The security person was doing his job, gave her plenty of opportunity to have her identify herself, and almost ends up pulled into an investigation. The Congresswoman from Georgia had other celebrities rallying around her in front of the media, then recants her story when the rest of Congress wants to open an investigation. She drops the charges, and now hopes this all goes away.

In the same vein, the African-American college student, single mom, and stripper in North Carolina appears to be playing the same race card. Rather than take our legal system seriously, she has decided to accuse the Duke University Lacrosse team (minus one African-American male) of gang raping her at an off-campus party. She submits to a rape kit, yet NO DNA evidence is found to confirm that she had been victim to any of the Duke U. students.

If you want to have a shred of credibility and have legitimate cases of racism explored, you really have to stop creating false cases. I think that the public also needs to stay out of it, until more of the facts are in. Rallying behind someone like this not only clogs our legal system with nonsense, it makes one question the reality of it if THESE examples are held out as racism.

I think that even Reverend Al Sharpton learned his lesson with jumping on the defensive bandwagon before having all the facts.
